Cheng Ji (Argos-Shimano) was the first Chinese rider to ever start the Giro. Unfortunately he got sick and had to quit the race after a few stages, but he got quite a bit of coverage on Chinese media. This video shows him pre-race and presents the Giro favorites. I also had a chat about the Tour of Beijing and Chinese cycling, about 5’ into the video
